Retro Step - Step aerobics has all the benefits of a high-intensity cardio workout without putting stress on your joints. It improves overall fitness by building strength , reducing fat, and boosting your cardiovascular health. Great Fun!!

Les Mills Body Balance

Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates workout that builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centred and calm. Body Balance is a controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music creating a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.

Les Mills Body Pump

The original LES MILLS barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast!

Les Mills RPM

RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It's fun, low impact and you can burn up to 675 calories a session! With great music pumping and the group spinning as one, your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding.

Les Mills SPRINT

Is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. The 30 minutes you put into a LES MILLS SPRINT workout drives your body to burn calories for hours. You combine bursts of intensity, where you work as hard as possible, with periods of rest that prepare you for the next effort.

Body Conditioning

This class is for people of all fitness levels and abilities. It is a challenging workout designed to improve cardio vascular fitness and body shape by using a variety of equipment.


This class involves a mixture of weighted and body weight exercises. A workout for everyone with effective exercises to help tone and strengthen all muscles targeting the core/abdominal muscles in particular.


This 30 minute HIIT class is designed using a combination of body weight and cardio exercises. These exercises are carried out at high intensity with short intervals to push your body and fitness to the next level. Exhilarating for all fitness levels giving an incredible workout.

Kettlebell Fitness

Swing, squat and lunge your way to a fitter you! Kettlebell Fitness* improves core strength and fitness, increases endurance, flexibility and mobility all while toning and reducing body fat. It's a great all-rounder.

Super Saturdays

The perfect way to start your weekend! This 60 minute class is fun, full of energy and will leave you feeling incredible. This class is based an all round body conditioning class for all fitness levels and abilities, you've got to give it a go!


Delivers a fast, effective total-body workout. Helps build a rock-solid core. It will increase muscular endurance and benefits people of all fitness levels by utilising your own bodyweight.


Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental well being. The main components of yoga are postures and breathing. most studies suggest yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.

There's some evidence that regular yoga practice is beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – including lower back pain, depression and stress.


Our newest addition that's involves 3 different types of training in one class! Indoor Cycling, Running & Lifting. This has got be tried to get the full experience.


Our 30minute high intensity interval training class utilising a barbell, weight plate & bodyweight. This is great fun!

Functional Strength Training

This class involves training in Olympic lifts and techniques within our new IYSF Strength & Conditioning Zone.

IYSF - Strength & Conditioning Zone

Garioch Sports Centre (GSC) have extended and developed their existing community gym provision. GSC have added a new dynamic community space to its facility that will link directly to performance athlete development and sports club development both mainstream and parasport. Alongside this an improved service/facility for the public bringing improved knowledge, performance, and health benefits to all. The Garioch Sports Strength & Conditioning Space introduces a new purpose-built training space specifically design to be used in a multitude of ways. This spaces functionality includes use as a normal Gym area for day-to-day GSC members but primarily used in supporting athlete’s strength and conditioning training in addition to their sports specific training. The space is used as an educational facility for 1-2-1 or group training, it is a safe and flexible area currently housing the Aberdeenshire Athlete Development Programme (ADP) session.

The space is available for sports clubs to hire for strength and conditioning or training sessions, these sessions must be led by GSC qualified coaches or club qualified instructors with the required level of certification & insurances. Outside of these S&C functions the space is used as a studio for recovery sessions, club meetings, CPD sessions, coach development and GSC fitness classes. Over the first year of this new space we will work with IYSF to offer Garioch Sports Clubs subsidised use of the strength and conditioning space to allow them to develop the relationship with GSC and realise the benefits S&C can bring to their athletes in the hope they will continue to use this new space longer term.
